Join us on campus for a transfer to Gatwick on 9th September, arriving into Rome in the middle of the day, where we will head straight to the British School at Rome, our home for the next five days. From there, our (draft) itinerary looks as follows:

Monday 9th September (afternoon): Campus Martius tour. Pantheon, Largo Argentina, the Theatre of Pompey, Augustus’ Mausoleum, the Ara Pacis, and a gelato break.

Tuesday 10th September: Forum Romanum, Colosseum, Palatine, Church of Santa Sabina.

Wednesday 11th September: Vatican and its Museums, including the Prima Porta, Laocoon, and the Sistine Chapel.

Thursday 12th September: Ostia. A trip to Rome’s ancient port town with a stop on the way to see a Pyramid.

Friday 13th September: Capitoline Museums, Imperial Fora, and leftover sites across the Campus Martius

Saturday 14th September: Palazzo Massimo museum and a transfer back to the airport from Termini station, returning to Gatwick at 2015. Transfer back to Reading, just in time to start the new year.

Total trip costs:

Accommodation (including breakfast and membership): £559

Excursions: up to £85 (we are working on getting the reduced student ticket paperwork sorted and this will go down)

We have been most fortunate to secure sponsorship from the Wardman Legacy Fund, which means everyone gets £375 off the trip price.

4) Instalment 4 Less than £100 before September 30th, this is to pay for excursions, some of which the trip leader may be able to haggle down on the spot in which case we will reduce the total amount.
