The MERL

Event time: 10:00-11:30 

Discover the benefits of outdoor learning and child-led play at Friday Fledglings! Come and join in with activities inspired by the themes and collections of the museum, and enjoy exploring nature, our mud kitchen, water play, sand-pit, and more. Led by Charlotte, a local teacher and Level 3 Forest Leader, each session includes story-telling, craft activities, singing, and a snack.

Bookings open at 12 pm on a Friday, one week ahead of the session you’d like to attend

Event time: 4:30pm– 5:45pm

Explore the magic of light in the MERL garden and enjoy a host of craft activities inspired by light and the MERL gardens and collections.

Activities will include a torchlight trail, lantern making, gallery trail and more!

This will be a relaxed session with additional sensory provision, geared towards neurodivergent visitors and their families. Please only book this session if you feel it is appropriate to do so.

· Suitable for families with children aged 3 – 11. 

· All children must be accompanied by an adult and we encourage parents/carers to assist with all activities. 

· £7 per participating child. Adults free (when attending with participating children)
