Seminar and book launch: the Legacy of Greek Political Thought

Timings of the event: 14:15 – 18:00

The University of Reading is hosting a free half-day seminar on Friday 13 June, to celebrate the publication of Brill’s Companion to the Legacy of Greek Political Thought.

There is no charge for this event, and everyone is welcome to join us.

The seminar will start at 2.15pm and is followed by a drinks reception at 5.30pm.

Speakers and papers include:

·  Arlene Saxonhouse (University of Michigan): ‘Logos and ergon: the legacy of Greek political thought’

·   Benjamin Gray (Birkbeck, University of London)

·   Alan Cromartie (University of Reading)

We will conclude with a panel discussion, chaired by Katherine Harloe (Institute of Classical Studies), on next steps for interdisciplinary scholarship in this field.
